Across the country, potholes seem to be a hot topic of conversation at the moment. So, did you know that to enable them to be fixed within the county they need to be reported to Cambridgeshire County Council’s Highway department via this link. If the pothole is not reported, it cannot be fixed. While speaking to County Councillor Hudson, he confirmed that he reported 3 recently and they were fixed within 1½ weeks.
If you are unfortunate enough to have damage caused to your vehicle by a pothole, you can make a claim to County Council. You will need to have taken a photo of the damaged wheel (in most cases) next to the offending pothole. Please note that the claim will only be valid if the pothole has been reported via the website. Further information on this can be found on the County Council website.
